Ginger! This one's really exciting!
☕️Ginger is one of the oldest and most popular medicinal spices.
☕️ Ginger promotes the overall circulation in the body. It also acts as a stimulant for those who are lethargic or recovering from an illness.
☕️ Ginger tea promotes heat and cleansing through perspiration. It also affects systematic cleansing through the bowels and kidneys.
☕️ Ginger neutralizes toxins and aids in the digestion and assimilation of food. It can help chronic indigestion by speeding up the emptying of the stomach.
☕️ Ginger may also drastically reduce blood sugars and improve heart disease risk factors in Type 2 diabetes.
☕️ Gingerol is the main bio active compound in ginger and is responsible for it's anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects.
☕️ Ginger can be helpful for menstrual cramps, may reduce muscle soreness from exercise, and can help with osteoarthritis.
☕️ Ginger may improve brain function and protect against Alzheimer's disease by inhibiting inflammatory responses that occur in the brain.
☕️ Gingerol may also help prevent cancer and can also help reduce the risk of infections.
☕️ Last thing! Try ginger tea at the beginning of a cold or flu to help ease symptoms and chew on the peeled root to soothe a sore throat.
Whew!!! I had to stop midway to chew on some ginger and help myself to some ginger tea.
